Tadoba - Camilla
The Classical Tiger Safari (3N/4D)
28 june to 1 july 2026
6 safaris | Best Guides & Drivers | Batch Led By Camilla Malvestiti
- Nagpur (Maharashtra)
Overview
You feel, before you see. A primitive thrill and anticipation prickles the back of your neck, as you gaze unblinkingly at a pair of gleaming, emerald eyes. The luminous eyes are followed by an immense body, muscle and sinew working together to bring about a refined grace in his movements. A velveteen coat, shimmering in the dying rays of the sun, is marked by the stripes of his royal lineage. His handsome jaw is raised to the heavens, proud and unyielding. And as you watch this striking spectacle, you realize you have been graced with the presence of the lord of the land, a prince of sensual power and Earth’s original warrior race – The Tiger.
What to expect?
There are trips and then there are life-altering journeys that will define your heart and mind.
One such journey will be into Tadoba. Pristine and extravagant in its beauty, it will entice the senses and enchant your soul. The tigers of Tadoba are wonders to behold and to be amongst the chosen few, who have been in their presence is indeed an honour. With its accessibility, easy accommodation options and commitment to the wildlife thriving within its boundaries, Tadoba remains one of the few havens where humans and nature commune with respect, admiration and a bone-deep gratification.
Maharashtra’s most unique national park is also the most prolific tiger jungle in the country. Dozens of cubs of various ages and their ‘sighting-friendly’ parents make this an absolute Tiger heaven. This land of Maya, Sonam, Waghdoh and Madhuri also holds the distinction for the most number of sightings of leopards and sloth bears. Our guides and drivers would leave no stone (and path) unturned in their quest to show you these enigmatic forest denizens. Add in a pack of wild dogs or the Dhole and you get the Big 4 of central India! Ensure you come with a lot of spare memory cards for Tadoba seldom disappoints!
Itinerary
1. Arrive in Nagpur - Drive to Tadoba - Evening Jungle Safari
(You are requested to reach Nagpur anytime till 9:30 am. The convenient timings will be mailed once we start communication regarding the tour).
Our favourite team of drivers would receive you at the airport / railway station, serve you hot breakfast but before long we would be on the highway to Tadoba. Post check-in, we have lunch and without further ado, step into our wildlife attire and go for the first of our 6 jungle safaris. This would be a fantastic introduction to Tadoba and if luck is on our side, we will get our first Tiger today! The beauty of this great reserve and the astounding variety of mammals would fill your heart with joy, and cameras with images! After the safari, as our friends at the lodge serve you piping hot tea and coffee, our experts would do what they are best at – conduct a fun-filled but extremely informative session about Tadoba and its many animals. Over dinner, we have an informal talk about the nuances and tricks of wildlife photography, for the next three days do require you to be at your best!
2. Days 2 & 3 : Overnight in Tadoba
We shall undertake four safaris in Tadoba over these two days. Based on the sightings over the last few days and areas where cubs are currently found, we shall focus our attention there and spend a greater time in tracking tigers around those hotspots. Tadoba’s core and buffer together harbor more than a hundred tigers and our endeavour would not only be to see as many as possible but spend quality time with them, while making some cherished images of this most iconic of nature’s creations. Nights would be dedicated to wildlife sessions, quizzes and night trails!
3. Day 4 : Morning Safari & Drive back to Nagpur.
After one last safari in Tadoba, we drive back to Nagpur from where we embark on our return journey home. We reach Nagpur at around 3 pm.
You are requested to board any flight/train after 5 pm.

Frequently Asked Questions
Your questions answers about stays and more
What’s the difference between a group tour and a private tour?
Group tours are fixed date departures to some of our most popular destinations. You can buy a seat for one of those and you will share the jeep with other participants.
A private tour is a totally customized trip that we will craft around your preferences. You can choose the dates, the park and the accommodation category.
How much in advance shall I plan a safari trip?
It is important to plan your trip well in advance. For the Indian national parks, we recommend a minimum of 4 to 6 months prior to the date. Visiting a national park in India requires the booking of permits. These are issued in a limited number to control the capacity of the park and they get sold out quite fast.
For Africa, we recommend booking at least 6 months in advance during peak season (June to September) and 2-3 months for the rest of the year.
Can you organize a safari trip using luxury properties?
Absolutely. We work with the best hotels and camps in every destination and we are able to include the best luxury properties for your holiday.
What makes your safari trips special?
We have extensive experience as tour operators, naturalists and wildlife photographers. We (the founders) are on field for months every year and have a deep knowledge of all the destinations and of their sightings opportunities. We work with the best team of guides, drivers and trackers with whom we have established a personal relationship over the years.
I am a wildlife photographer. Can you tailor- make a trip based on my requirements?
Absolutely. We are wildlife photographers ourselves and we know the importance of a great team who understands key factors such as jeep positioning, angle and light. We can offer specially modified jeeps for photography in all destinations. Rest assured that you will go back with photos that tell a memorable story!
I want to combine wildlife and cultural visits / sightseeing. Can you organize that as well?
Yes, we can also organize your cultural tour in India and in our other destinations. Based on your requirements we will craft a personalized itinerary and we will take care of hotels, transportation, guides and anything you need.
What’s the best time of the year to go on a safari?
For India, most parks are open from 1 October to 30 June. October and November are the post-monsoon months, and the forest is dense and green. December to the beginning of March is winter, the weather is crisp and the light beautiful. Summer starts from the end of April to June. This is the time when the weather is gets warmer and the number of tiger sightings peak.
For Africa, it all depends on the destination. If you want to see the Great Migration of wildebeests, the season is from June to the end of September. This destination is great during the other months as well, when the crowds are less and you can experience multiple sightings of big cats and other animals.
